To trek in Nepal, whether as a Free Individual Traveler (FIT) or in a group, certain regions require adherence to government regulations. In restricted areas, FIT is strictly prohibited, and a licensed trekking guide is mandatory. Special permits for these areas can be obtained from the Department of Immigration, along with the following documents for the trekking permit application:

- Valid visa covering the trekking duration
- Travel insurance documents
- Trekking group’s name list and schedule
- Agency guarantee letter
- Bank payment voucher for permit fees
Trekking permit fees for various regions are inclusive in our trek charges. Additionally, a Travelers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card is mandatory and can be obtained in Kathmandu. Entry fees for National Parks/Conservation Areas are collected at respective entry points. Here are the general charges for specific trekking areas and restricted zones in Nepal:
- Dolpa District:
- Lower Dolpa: US$ 10 per week per person
- Upper Dolpa: US$ 500 for the first ten days, extra US$ 50 per day per person
- Taplejung District: US$ 10 per week per person
- Mustang District (Upper): US$ 500 for the first 10 days, extra US$ 50 per day per person
- Gorkha District:
- Manaslu Area:
- September-November: US$ 70 per week per person, extra US$ 10 per day per person
- December-August: US$ 50 per week per person, extra US$ 7 per day per person
- Lower Manaslu (Chhekampar & Chunchet):
- September-November: US$ 35 for 8 days
- December-August: US$ 25 for 8 days
- Manaslu Area:
- Dolakha District (Gauri Sankhar & Lamabagar): US$ 10 per week per person
- Humla District (Simikot and Yari): US$ 50 for first 7 days, extra US$ 7 per day per person
- Rasuwa District (Thiuman and Timure): US$ 10 per week per person
- Sankhuwasabha District (Makalu region): US$ 10 per week per person for the first 4 weeks, extra US$ 20 per week per person after 4 weeks
- Solukhumbu District (Everest region): US$ 10 per week per person for the first 4 weeks, extra US$ 20 per week per person after 4 weeks
- Manang District (Nar, Phu, and Tilche village regions):
- September-November: US$ 90 per week per person
- December-August: US$ 75 per week per person
- Mugu District (Mugu, Dolpu, Bhangri, and Pulu regions): US$ 90 for first 7 days, extra US$ 15 per day per person
- Bajhang District (Saipal, Kanda, and Dhuli areas): US$ 90 for first 7 days, extra US$ 15 per day per person
- Darchula District (Byas Village region): US$ 90 for first 7 days, extra US$ 15 per day per person.
