Discovering Népal in good hands

I had the chance to travel with this agency and discover Népal with différents trips Around Poon Hill Trek Chitwan safari Manaslu Trek Nagarkot Tour I highly recommend to travel with this family agency, maybe you will even have the chance to discover their family life in their guesthouse. I really appreciate Manaslu trek with Nabin and Poon Hill trek with Samir. The quality of services and prices were really good, you feel in sécurity, in good hands everytime. For Nagarkot i was disappointed because the weather wasn't clear at all, and maybe the agency should have tell me before. Read More

Nepal Tourism & Trekking Update Following Recent Floods – September 2026

Nepal Tourism & Trekking Update Following Recent Floods – September 2026

Important Travel Information for International Visitors
Nepal is currently recovering from a devastating flash flood and landslide disaster that occurred on August 26, 2026, particularly affecting the Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi–Trishuli river corridors near the Nepal–Tibet border. The disaster caused significant damage to roads, bridges, local communities and infrastructure, and rescue and recovery operations are continuing.
The situation has understandably raised concerns among international travelers planning to visit Nepal during the upcoming autumn trekking season. However, Nepal is a large and geographically diverse country, and the recent disaster has not affected all trekking and tourism destinations.
Trekking in Nepal Continues
Many of Nepal's major trekking regions remain accessible and are geographically separate from the most severely affected flood zone. Current travel reports indicate that popular destinations such as the Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga regions remain outside the principal flood-affected area. However, conditions can change quickly during the monsoon and post-monsoon period, so route and road conditions should always be checked before departure.
The Langtang and northern Rasuwa areas require particular caution, as roads, bridges and access routes around Syabrubesi and the Bhote Koshi corridor have been affected. Travelers planning Langtang, Tamang Heritage or northern border-area journeys should obtain the latest local information before traveling.
Our Commitment to Traveler Safety
At Tourist Link Trek & Expedition, the safety of our guests is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring weather forecasts, road conditions, trekking trails and official travel advisories.
Before every trek, our team evaluates the current conditions of the route and coordinates with our experienced guides and local partners. If conditions require a change of route, transportation arrangement or itinerary, we will make the necessary adjustments to prioritize the safety and comfort of our clients.
Nepal Remains Open for Tourism
Despite the recent disaster, Nepal continues to welcome international travelers. The country's major tourism destinations extend across a large geographical area, and many trekking routes remain open and operational.
We encourage travelers not to cancel their Nepal adventure based only on general flood-related news. Instead, please contact us for the latest information regarding your specific trekking route and travel dates.
Tourism is also an important source of income for local communities throughout Nepal. Responsible travel during the recovery period can help support local guides, porters, hotels, teahouses, transportation providers and other communities that depend on tourism.
Travel Advice
Travelers visiting Nepal during this period are advised to:
Check the latest weather and route conditions before departure.
Follow instructions from local authorities and experienced trekking guides.
Avoid flood-affected river corridors and damaged roads.
Allow flexibility in transportation and trekking itineraries.
Follow official travel advisories and local safety instructions.
Contact your trekking agency for current route information before starting your journey.
Tourist Link Trek & Expedition will continue to provide regular updates as new information becomes available.
For travelers planning an Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Manaslu Circuit, Makalu, Kanchenjunga or other Himalayan trek, please contact our team for the latest route-specific conditions before confirming your departure.
Stay safe, travel responsibly, and continue to discover Nepal.
