Trip Overview of Rolwaling Trek

Rolwaling refers to the name – valley carved by a plough.  The first preliminary surveying or research about the area from the westerners was done by Eric Shipton et.al in 1951. The valley (3690 m) is a renowned trekking zone under the Himalayan Mountain range and lies in east-central Nepal near Tibet. The range includes the highest peak on the planet in elevation i.e. Mount Everest (8849 m) and all other 14 peaks over 8000 m. Itinerary

On this day you have to wake up early in the morning so that you can take a bus and move to Dolakha (1350m) from Kathmandu by following the route of Lamosangu (750m) and Charikot (1980m). As you are taking a drive from Kathmandu you will feel the differences between the atmosphere of Kathmandu and that of Charikot. Overnight stay in a Mountain Lodge.

Early in the morning you will have breakfast and resume your trek from Dolakha and head towards Shigati through Piguti (920m).
