Itinerary

The representative from Tourist link trek & expedition with the tourist link trek sign board will receive you at Tribhuvan International airport Kathmandu, where you get a warm welcome with a garland, made up of flowers and then be escorted to your hotel. He will explain a bit about your trip while driving to your hotel. Manager Hom will meet you at the hotel and explain about the trekking journey.

In the morning after having breakfast you will be greeted by your tour guide who will guide you around the city by taking a luxury car. You will visit some UNESCO world heritage sites such as Kathmandu Durbar square, Bouddhanath stupa, Patan Durbar square, and Monkey temple. All of these sites are UNESCO world heritage sites. Some remaining shopping is done in the evening.

We drive to Kathmandu airport in the morning after having breakfast for a flight to Biratnagar. It takes nearly 40 minutes to reach Biratnagar. The flight goes in an east direction so you can have a scenic view of the Himalayas ranges. After landing at Biratnagar we take another flight to Suketar Taplejung which can be tiny small aircraft. It can be a Dornier aircraft or Pilatus porter but for sure it will be a small one. After Arriving at Suketar we walk for a while to the mountain lodge where you will meet the rest of the staff for your trekking trip. Overnight at mountain lodge.

We commence our journey after having breakfast. Porter prepares your duffel bag fastening two of them and making one load so it's easier for them to carry. The trail goes downhill all the way to the mighty Tamor river which originates from Mt Kanchenjunga and its neighboring mountain. We walk through a bunch of settlements where we can see people from several different indigenous groups like Rai and Limbu. We stop for launch at the place called Mitlung which is located on the bank of river Tamor. We stop at Sinwa for an overnight stay.

We commence our journey early in the morning after taking a gut-filling breakfast. The trail goes through the bank of the river Tamar crossing a few times through the suspension bridge. A small terrace field by the bank of the river magnifies the beauty of the landscape. We stop for launch at Chiruwa where we make the check-in inside the Kanchenjunga conservation area. The trail goes flat most of the day except for some small up and down. We cross the river through the suspension bridge and reach our destination Sakethum.

The trail goes through the bank of the mighty river Ghunsa Khola which originates at Pangpema. After walking an hour we walk uphill all the way to Amjilosa where there are few houses inhabited by Tibetan descendent Bhotia people. Amjilosa is located at the waist of the mountain high above the river. The surrounding of this mountain is mostly pastureland.

We start our journey early in the morning after having breakfast. The trail goes high about the river through the waist of the mountain. The mesmerizing scenery during the walk amazes you every pulse of the moment so don't forget to be alert and look around and hey don't forget this is the area where you can witness red panda and some other endangered species. The place Gyabla surprises you when you get there. Wooden house built using local architect, wooden fence encircled around the field and the Jokpey cross breed between Yak and the regular hilly cow you are going to see here the first time.

The Trek trail to Ghunsa goes through the pastureland and small forest where the majority of the tree are alpine like pine, fir, juniper, and highland rhododendron. We cross the aluminum bridge and reach Ghunsa which is one of the biggest settlements on the trail. The indigenous people in this area are descendent of Tibetan Bhotia people. They follow Tibetan Buddhism. The houses in this village are mostly built of wood and consist of two stories, the ground floor for the cattle and the first floor for the people. Please do not miss to visit this village in depth.

We start the journey early in the morning after having breakfast. The trail goes gradually uphill following the flossing river Ghunsa Khola. The scenery on the way is breathtaking so you might stop a lot on the way for observation and photos. After trekking halfway we cross the river through a wooden bridge which is one of the unique pieces of art where no nail has been while construction. We walk through a landslide cross a small river coming from the left-hand side and reach Khambachen which is a yak herders settlement in the past now because of tourism there are few lodges open for the hospitality of tourists.

On the tenth day of trekking, you are doing acclimatization at Khambachen. There are several side trips available to do from this place. It makes you stronger after getting well acclimatized. If you don't get acclimatized enough you can't sleep well, and you lose appetite so it's very important to get acclimatized before climbing uphill.

The trail from Khabachen goes gradually uphill to Lhonak by the side of a Glacier that originates from Kanchenjunga Base Camp. A big chunk of the boulder can be seen on the way very closely. As you reach Lhonak you can see one dry lake and its sandy dried surface. There is a bunch of small teahouse in Lhonak that uses dried yak dung for cooking and solar energy of lighting the house. Don't forget to look around when you come out of the lodge because there is a big chance of witnessing Blue sheep, snow leopard, and some other endangered species.

Early morning we commence our journey after having a gut-filling breakfast. The trail goes flat through the trail by the side of the Kanchenjunga glacier. The trail goes through the rocky field at the beginning of the journey and through the boulder and the pastureland. It takes 3.6 hours to reach Pangpema if the trail is not covered by snow. Lhonak is located high above the glacier on the ridge of a small hill from there you can see 360 views of the Kanchenjunga glacier.

Today we go to visit Kanchenjunga Base camp and the glacier. The trail goes downhill to the bottom where the glacier Kanchenjunga base camp is located. We visit other higher base camps after visiting the lower base camp. The excursion takes around 5.5 hours. The scenery is magnificent here, everywhere you see is a gigantic mountain, rugged glaciers, huge boulders,s, and green pastureland. After coming back from the excursion we trek back to Lhonak.

On the fourth day of the journey after having breakfast, we walk back to Ghunsa from Lhonak. The trail goes gradually downhill all the way to Ghunsa. While walking downhill back to Ghunsa take your time to watch the scenery and look carefully around while walking through the forest you might be able to see red pandas and some other endangered species. After reaching Ghunsa you can celebrate the successful journey and hope for more success in the coming days.

Early morning we start our journey after having breakfast. The trail goes uphill all the way to Sele Le. We cross Sele pass and reach our destination Sele Le where we will spend overnight. You can see magnefecient view from there. You can experience tented camp accomodation facility here.

We start our journey early in the morning after having breakfast. The trail goes slightly uphill through lush green forest and terrace field. Kande Bhanjyang is a place that is a hill pass from where we can cross and reach another side of the hill.

Today is the easy day. After having breakfast we commence our journey. The trail goes through the village and settlement. After reaching Suketar we go for walk around the village and come back to take shower and clean.

Early morning we walk to the airport from there we first fly to Biratnagar and we take another flight to Kathmandu. The flight to Kathmandu offers a magnificent view of the Himalayas and the hills.

After coming back to Kathmandu after finishing such a long and adventurous trek we take a rest in Kathmandu. You can walk around the street of Kathmandu and find some souvenirs for your friends, colleagues, and relatives. You can try some authentic Nepali cuisine on this day like Dal Bhat, Momo, Thukpa, Thenduk, etc.

We transport you to Airport for your final departure. You will get a Nepali-style farewell to treat upon your departure. Khada i.e fabric garland will be given to you at the time of departure.
