Trip Overview of Poonhill trek 3 days

Poonhill trek 3 days is also called Ghorepani Poonhill trek which is located in the northern part of Pokhara and southern part of Annapurna Himalayas. Poonhill trek 3 days is known as a piece of cake and a bunch of flowers among travelers for a long time. This is one of the most famous treks in Nepal. This journey offers you more than you expect. Trekking through the lush green forest, exploring multi-ethnic culture, panoramic view of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri Himalaya, flora-fauna, ancient granite spread trail, waterfall, and flossing river are the major highlights of the journey. Being located inside the Annapurna conservation area you are expected to some of the wild species.

This journey starts from Pokhara where a private car picks you up and drops you at the place called Nayapul. From there we start to trek which follows the bank of river Modi Khola and later after reaching the place called Birethanti trail follows another turquoise green river Brungdi Khola. You have a nice lush green view during the trek. We go to Ulleri 2000m for an overnight stay which is inhabited by Magar people.

The next day we trek to Ghorepani 2800m via lush green forest where we can see many varieties of rhododendron trees. Ghorepani used to be an ancient stop point where people used to stop and feed their horses with water. Next day early morning we make a short hike to Poonhill 3210m for sunrise and panoramic Mountain View. You can see a bunch of mountains from the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. We take breakfast after Poonhill at Ghorepani and start to trek down to Ulleri where we take the Jeep to Pokhara. It takes around 2.5 hours from Ulleri to Pokhara.


Itinerary

The car will come to pick you up in the morning. You get the accompany of your guide who will take care of you during your trekking. It drops you at Nayapul 1100m from there we start to trek. We follow the river Modi Khola until the place called Birethanti where we cross the river through a motorable bridge and follow the route through the bank of the river Brungdhi Khola. Lush green surrounding gives you continuous bliss during the trek. We stop for the launch at the place called Sudame. After Tikedhunga we start to climb the famous stone upstairs of Ulleri. We spend overnight at the mountain lodge.

Early morning after having breakfast we start to trek. Ulleri is one of the big villages where we can see multi-ethnic people enrich with their customs, culture, and tradition. We pass through some more villages like Banthanti, Nangethanti, Deurali, etc. The trail goes mostly through the shade of the jungle after Banthanti where we can see numerous flora-fauna. Lush green jungle, Stone spread trail, rock honeycomb, and wild species are highlights during the trek. We stop for the launch at the place called Banthanti. We go to explore around the village after we reach Ghorepani 2800m. Evening at Ghorepani is very unforgettable with fireplace and delicious cuisine.

Early morning we hike to Poonhill one hour before sunrise. It takes 45 minutes to get there. We can see the magnificent panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain. A bunch of stunning mountains can be seen from there like Dhaulagiri 8171m, Annapurna I 8091m, Fishtail, Annapurna South, Nilgiri south, Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri II, Gurja, Hiunchuli, etc. After the sunrise spending some time we hike down to Ghorepani where we have breakfast and trek downhill to Ulleri where we catch a Jeep which drops to Pokhara.
