Trip Overview of Island Peak Climbing
Island Peak Climbing is situated amid Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountains on the uppermost of Chhukung Glacier. Island Peak is counted as the most preferred Peak which offers a brilliant occasion to attain a Himalayan Summit of 6,189m. Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1345m)
30 Min Breakfast only Hotel Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, our team members from Tourist Link Treks & Expedition will welcome you and explain briefly about the tour package. You will then be taken to the hotel where you will be staying overnight. Stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

On the first day of the tour package, we will be sightseeing around the Capital city of Nepal; Kathmandu. Several world heritage sites are included in Kathmandu Valley like Basantapur Durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, Bouddha Stupa, Pasupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and so on that will keep visitors delighted. Stay overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2840m) trek to Phakding (2610m)
30 Min B/L/D Phakding Hotel
On the second day, we will board a flight to the Lukla Airport, known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. This will be the magnificent mountain flight and the flight itself can be no less than an escapade as the airport join up as the mainly risky airport in the world, known the position, height, and landscape. Within 30 minutes, we will reach Lukla enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains during the flight. After landing at Lukla, we will take breakfast and get on the trek. Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

On the third day, we start again our trek and follow the trail along the Dudh Kosi River while ascending through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to the ultimate destination, that of the popular village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche has remained a momentous trading point for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat, and other consumable and textile items. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 05: Rest and acclimatization

On the following day of the trek, we will spend in Namche for acclimatization. As the altitude will increase significantly, a day for acclimatization is paramount and severely sensible for probable trekkers. One can spend the day in Lukla visiting the local Bazaar of Namche or visiting the close by Sherpa villages. If we are not tired and can walk for another few hours, then we can go to Everest Hotel for immense panoramic views of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, and others. Stay overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
Tengboche (3,867m) is another village in the Khumbu region situated in North Eastern Nepal. Tengboche is famous for the Buddhist monastery thought to be built in 1923. Tengboche offers a panoramic sight of the Himalayas, Mountains, and different popular Peaks. Tengboche is also the birthplace of mountaineer Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Stay overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Pheriche (4,371m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
On the following day, we resume our trek and head towards Pheriche. Pheriche is another village in Eastern Nepal in the Khumbu Region with an altitude of 4,371m. It is famous for trekkers as well as climbers as it is the stop point for them where they can have some rest. Initially, this place was known for farming potatoes, buckwheat, and rearing Yaks. At present in summer, people especially males are engaged in trekking as trekkers or guides, or bearers. Stay overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4910m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
On the 7th day, we will head towards Lobuche after having breakfast in Pheriche. Lobuche is a beautiful place with beautiful mountains. Basically, it is inculcated with two major Peaks which are named Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 09: Trek to Gorakhshep (5164m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
Gorakshep is an ending trail for numerous trekkers in the Khumbu Region which is decoded as “Dead raven” in Sherpa idiom. Apart from the habitat, it is known as a residential territory for large flocks of soaring ravens. It is interesting to know that Gorakhshep is the final village before you reach Mount Everest. You can stop here for the lemon tea too. Stay overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek to Dingboche (4,530m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
On the 9th day, we will be moving to Dingboche as it is the famous place in the Khumbu region and all the trekkers and climbers take a rest before they start to Mount Everest and the other Himalayas. People who live in Dingboche have their main occupation as tourism, especially running lodges or tenting areas. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 11: Trek to Chhukhung (4730m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
On the 10th day, we will move to Chhukhung early in the morning taking your breakfast. We necessitate to march a little bit more than the standard days as it a long days trek. Chukkang is just a slight bit far from the Island Peak Base Camp. Stay overnight in a Mountain Lodge.
Day 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (4970m)
5 hrs B/L/D Tented Camp
We will start the trek in the early morning as we aim to get to the Island Peak Base Camp. Island Peak Base Camp (6189 m) is an extremely large Peak and this Peak is not planned for everyone. The nature of the peak asks for very difficult climbing, because of its lofty altitude. Many trekkers too go through the elevated sickness. We get time to view Glacier Lake from the Island Peak Base Camp. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 13: Trek to High Camp (5510m)
4-5 hrs B/L/D Tented Camp
The next day, we will hike promote up to High Camp from the Island Peak Base Camp. We will be walking for 4 hours and get complete for the High Camp and set mutually organize for the next day to get to the summit in next day. Stay overnight in a tented camp.
Day 14: trek to Summit-Chhukhung (6189m)
7-8 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
This is an essential day as we will extend the summit from where we can outlook Pumori (7161m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu (8201m). These are considered the most fantastic views that you can see from the summit. Again after the trek, we will go back over to Base Camp. Stay overnight in a Mountain Lodge.
Day 15: Extra day to attempt summit
All day B/L/D Mountain Lodge
This day is taken as an additional day for endeavoring the summit. This is similar to being an extra day for the discovery just in case if we encounter bad weather. There are adequate things to discover at the Summit and we will be amazed viewing the attractiveness. Stay overnight in a Mountain Lodge.
Day 16: Trek to Tengboche (3867m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Mountain Lodge
On the 15th day, we will begin again our trek by moving downhill from Island Peak. Trek to Tengboche will seize nearly 4 hours. As we have already trek Tengboche, we are familiar with the nearby surrounding. Stay overnight at a guest house.
Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
5-6 hrs B/L/D Hotel Namche
From Tengboche, we will set to trek Namche Bazaar (3440m), taking the breakfast. Namche Bazaar is an astoundingly astonishing place where we can take benefit from the lovely beauty of nature. On the way, we can yet take a break to visit the archetypal villages of Khumjung along with Khunde. We can visit the monasteries which are awfully exclusive in their formation. Stay overnight at a guest house.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla (2840m)
6-7 hrs B/L/D Hotel Lukla
The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. We will be staying in Lukla for the rest of day and getting ready ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu in next day from Lukla (2,850m). Stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu
30 Min Breakfast only Hotel Kathmandu
On this day of the tour package, we will board a flight back to Kathmandu, enjoining 30 minutes of exciting mountain flight. From the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel to have some rest. Since you are leaving in next day you can utilize this day by roaming around the corners of Kathmandu. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 20: Departure!!!!
30 Min Only Breakfast
On the 19th day of the tour package, you will be again transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu with equal respect. From the airport, you are free to choose your next destination and we will hope to see you again.
